Poem Artwork

In the hospital I had many dreams & nightmares,

More, I think, than my fair share,

I think it was the drugs that did it, or so it did seem,

All the scary ones were of a similar theme…

I was locked up, a situation I never could endure,

My hands were tied (for my own good),

With every statement it seemed the doctors lied,

I certainly did not feel in anyway secure…

But through it all was my lady,

Even she was there when I acted like a baby,

Cried I did over my circumstances,

She was there for me,

To help me through it and our love, see…

As well the song played,

From a cute cuddly little bear,

Was prominent in all my dreams,

Rene gave it to me with all her love,

And even now I still keep her near, if I feel a scare,

Naming that little bear Rene I have her near me, forever, displayed…

It's OK if you still sleep with teddy bears, Bro. And I sure hope you've kept the little Pee Wee Bear that I gave you when we were kids - it's probably a Collector's Item now!

To have someone special caring always helps the healing process and I know she was instrumental in keeping AD informed of how you were.
