Thanks to J. Allen Wilson with his recent posting, "I Remember When" for the idea herein...

Of waves so big as to knock me down, Of the smell of salt upon waking, The cool ocean breeze coming in my window, Battered hot dogs at the stand in the making… Cotton candy, milkshakes & burgers, Surfing, swimming, painting seashells, Watching northeast storms from our porch, Listening to the local church’s bells… Beachcombing, The ocean at the shore foaming, Just generally all over town roaming, But when the time came for dinner, to home homing…

Yes our generation truly lived...not in computers, DVD players, PSPs, cell phones etc but by going exploring the world around us...the beaches, the lakes, the empty lots we'd play ball in, the graveyards we'd play war or cowboys and indians in....sad to see so much lost to our children
