Poem Artwork

Firstly don’t forget that pin,

That would be the ultimate sin,

30 odd years ago, who would know,

That now we have a love/hate relationship,

With a box of circuits & memory,

If that little box you are reading this from,

Could feed our libido & our stomachs,

Would we be so fast to go out into the world at large,

Instead to stay at home and live on our barge,

Never to have to answer to anyone higher than a sarge,

To be totally separate from the world & other humans,

To live for this moment, till our computer does break,

Then & only then learning how to with others copulate,

No need for a better half, no need for any other mate,

To enjoy self reliance, not to worry about a future fate,

I don’t know, but did I write this for myself too late,

At the moment, I think to live with just this little box would be great,

Have foodstuffs delivered, and fuel to keep with warm,

To only go outside for the essential bit of exercise,

To keep us alive for a longer period of time,

Instead to be writing some little rhyme,

To stay permanently on-line…

For sure many can relate to this witty cute and insightful poem...
I took a real long break away from it (this computer) for a very long time Ed and it did me so much good .If you are totally serious about poetry and writing then here on line at the den is a great place to be(even to live)funny enough the folks here become like family (some here nicer than). For me though,an hour every couple of days is enough,(new priority:granchild needs me to play tea parties with her.)I enjoyed your poem heaps Ed.Best wishes

lol. Glad I don't spend all of my time on-line. I do get up and run a few errands. Love it. Liz

WEll, I think we're way too far out of touch now....can't imagine if our only connection was a box of circuits...giggle....

Transcendental Sojourn-Arrival to One Journal by Liz Cosline

Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about. You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached. Deciding what is the core of belief.
