Under the stars & stripes she met her death,

She died in agony; they killed her by surprise,

While they were in Washington telling their lies,

Entombed within are many American sailors,

The Japanese their ultimate jailors…

She now sits on the bottom of Pearl harbor,

As a monument to those that did within her die,

Her name never again used for an active ship,

For 71 years, Americans still do for her cry…

Remember her on this day of remembrance,

Remember her for human contents,

Never again shall we allow such horrid events,
