...me, Onny & Rene...the dog can't stop kissing me...
We’ve known each other since second grade,
During school hours we played,
We used to meet on the boardwalk at the arcade,
We grew with the ocean as our backdrop,
We swam; surfed & skied, as well we did many a belly flop…
All through elementary & into high school we together hung,
We went to the freshman dance, my first real date,
Though she remembers this night perfectly,
I have no memory of it; still I knew I had found my soulmate…
After high school we both strayed,
She married another & I got on with life,
I thought of her often, wished I had her as my wife,
But life moves forward, to see her again, I prayed…
Based on what you've been through, I'd say that she is more like a savior, but a soulmate will do.
