We've had our ups and downs, but through it all, with each other we are still around...
From our Mother Ocean we did come,
To be together for life; come what may,
We swam, surfed & skied to our hearts content,
Mother Ocean provided for us a great place to play…
On a little island in NJ we lived.
The sand, salt & sea got into our blood,
We experienced many a flash oceanic flood,
But through it all we remained & are still with the ocean, buds…
Soulmates we are together,
Mom Ocean did “sea” to that,
Never from each other did we far stray,
Relished did we, year around, the ocean spray…
I've been on top and at the bottom and lucky to be able to write about it. I respect the ocean, more than most, as it almost claimed me. Funny that I have been living on an Island surrounded by the ocean most of my life.
I always look forward to my trips to Rhode Island where my time is spent on the shore. I prefer driving in and hitting that wall of salt water's smell..............love it!
A landlubber lak me, I can still preciate the intimate feelings a person can have concerning the ocean . . . I guess all those years working in the Gulf of Mexico caused me to understand how a person could be molded by the great body of water that you grew up understanding.
