...not necessarily a memory,
nor necessarily the past or present.....

Poem Artwork

It was a sunny day on the beach,
With a bright blue sky & nary a cloud,
Not a soul there to bother this old fart,
Walking the beach to sooth his old heart,
Yes a beautiful day to fulfill a fantasy,
The sky was actually way too blue,
And so was I, for some reason blue too…

Mother ocean was there to of me console,
For something on me had taken its toll,
Inside I was quite torn, like an overused, under washed cloth,
I had been struck with a knife, cut inside, unseen,
Bleeding from within, crying on the inside, smiles on the out…

I had to force myself to walk on my beach,
Not a good sign for a beach lover like me,
I had to walk away the hurt next to my special sea,
I wanted comfort, but knew not where to turn,
My internal cut was turning into a burn,
My external smile did want my feelings to of it spurn…

What was it that turned me inside out,
To have with the self a violent bout,
I still walk of the beach, trying to smile,
On my beach, at my shore, I am still walking many a mile…

ED, I think feeling blue and being the only one
on that beach perhaps had something to do with
you're feeling blue. That sky came close to the
California sky which is a tad lighter and no clouds.

Always,

Deborah

I agree with Jane, walking (particularly in a preferred place) or biking (as I do)can be very therapeutic. Love and peace,

I think there's a lot of Daylight Deprevation Disorder going around. This has been a rough winter. Walking outside is great therapy. Feel better, my friend.

Love ya!

On the beach you can see forever and the walk is not impeded by anything except your willingness to walk on while your thoughts collect and regroup… Hence, a poem.

An old fart,
with an old heart.
From the ocean and beach,
May you never part.
You can find peace there,
better than at Wal-Mart.

thought and emotions can freeze up like a beach ...hopefully they will thaw out ... spring is not too far away ... the important thing is to keep walking that mile ...

Nice image, bubba. A great place to walk, talk to yerself, pray, and chuck stones. Alone is efficacious sometimes. Especially in nature. No devious-spirited wankers trying to pick your pocket. I hope you're ok. Arguments take their toll on a soul. I know. Had quite a few me-self. You still love each other. Peace ole friend... r

Sometimes we have to walk the walk and not talk the talk. Many things can be ironed out in our thoughts when we take these solitude beach walks. Whether for real, or just in your thoughts.
