I guess this could be considered political, but not by me...
Not part of the left,
Nor am I part of the right,
Very much I am in the middle,
With politics rarely if ever do I fiddle…
Allow others their belief,
Let them have within them their faiths,
Don’t fight them nor argue against them,
Don’t try to make them believe in what you do,
Without their stress you will live in your own relief…
There are many in your company. You are the group that doesn't vote and doesn't speak out when atrocities occur, either for fear or acceptance. That is truly unfortunate and dangerous for a democracy.
I, like you, am not a joiner of causes. However, I have thoughts and opinions that I express freely, like you have in this poem. It's important that everyone gets to have their say.
The president has called for mandatory voting. While I think it may be a drastic measure, something needs to be done so that all voters vote and make their opinions expressed in a positive way when elected officials and voting on referendums and other important measures that all, everyone of us, should decide.
Naw, I've never been a middle man. I'm conservative, but I understand and support certain left wing philosophy. Not many, but some. The government we have today is one hundred percent anti-American.
