Am I not the guy that knew everything when he was young,
Was I the guy that drank himself into a stupor,
Then tried to drive home & showing I was stupider,
Than the ones who tried to stop me, as I was just having fun…
Was I the one that got busted, ending up in jail,
Never could I ever afford the high requested bail,
In that cell he first got religion, then started to know,
How his mind did work, he was feeling better,
You could tell by his bright and shiny glow…
So much of your life wasted. But you were lucky to have that soulmate to rescue you time and time again or you probably wouldn't be here today to write poetry about it all.

I'm lucky didn't Die in car accident . age 17 or so,
that I Almost Caused !
My Dad had a saying that I always loved:
"The older I get, the dumber I get ...
and I ain't getting any Younger !"
I think we are constantly changing. Sometimes it's a major change, but often it's little changes that we don't even notice. So in that regard, I don't think we can ever truly know who we are. The best we can hope for is good understanding of who we are and end up with the right regrets

It seems the older we get, we admit who we really are...
