Golden Eyes, Golden Hair, Golden Love…

His eyes so golden,

His hair the same,

His love for you & me,

Never is it lame,

Taken for granted he sometimes is,

In trouble more times than I can recall,

But his love transcends all…

His picture I cannot get enough,

His face so handsome & cute,

But his eyes, so piercing, so positively astute,

I must really say that this dog I will always remember,

When one day he is gone, hope that is long away,

He will always have my love, my permanent salute,

For his winning way, is not his only attribute…

Ever since he first adopted us,

He has shown nothing but willingness,

To be the best damn friend, we have ever had,

Never did he ever really get too bad,

Once in awhile he does remind me,

He is still a dog, a puppy at heart,

Specially when, in the enclosed car, with the heat on high,

He does let lose one of those hellacious farts,

Oh my god, I have to open the windows, & turn off the heat,

And here let me say, I truly do not lie…
