we often hear...
"There is nothing we can do for you...
you'll just have to learn to live with it."
As we age
we have to learn
we can't do the things we used to do...
so we must adjust to get used to it.
As we age
things are not the same.
Everything in this life is temporary
as everyone can plainly see.
As we age
let's sieze the moment
to love, to share, to spread good cheer
because lost time will never again be near.
Damn, but John, you hit the proverbial nail on the proverbial head, I hear all the time how I "am going to have to learn to live with it" & it sucks...but its funny, I do learn, after a time, to live with it, even when I would prefer not to...-e-
You are in a rare, less humorous, mood but still writing important stuff. You could add one more: "As we age, we become more sage." I plan not to become a "grumpy old man," try to keep my spirits up as I have to put up with or "get used to" things that come along with temporary existence.
Ab-so-lutely!!! I sometimes forget how old I am and how my strength isn't the same as it used to be. Even though my ego suffers somewhat I just stand in front of a mirror . . . That reminds me that what I am now is nothing like the tough guy I used to be.
