As I live and breath ...
seems I have to learn to age.
Just can't do the things I used to do
when I was twenty-two.

Though agng is a natural process
that we all must endure
starting at birth and continuing till
we knock on heavens door.

Each day unto a new venture
of a complete unknown we are thrust,
unbeknownst to us
to which we must learn to adjust.

Thankfully mine has been a prolific life.
The time has now come to repair
to a much slower pace...
to DO... but not OVER-do.

As an octegnarian what I do is not
without a concerted amount of effort,
I am learning to pace myself
to keep the body and mind moving.

As I age I must learn to unlearn
a multitude of things I was once able to do.
Everythng seems to take a little extra time.
Which after all these years is just fine.
