You sit and wonder where my blackness
beauty lies, it’s the royal light shining
from my eyes.

A wonderful body shape for my size
with lovely legs to compliment
my thighs.

The width of my hips
and the fullness of my lips.

It’s the eccentric structure of my
cheekbones with scenic hue in my
skin tone.

It’s the delightful formation of my nose
I inherit from an ancestor I am proud
to expose.

My beautiful face
that shows the strength of grace.

And my conservative smile
that my heart has exquisitely compiled.

It’s the virtuous pride I have inside
that I will not ever hide.

It’s the diverse hair color that I wear
with various styles that make people stare.

It’s the stride in my walk
and the intellect that flows from my mouth when
I talk.

It’s my spiritual appease
that makes men fall to their knees.

It’s my inner mystery
others can’t see.

From the linkages of powerful educated blacks
that paved a way for me.

My Black is Beautiful!
And I don’t need to bowed my head low
I came from a dominant lineage with their
spiritual glow.
