What once was so bright, alive and vivid

Has faded into a blurred image,

A mere memory hanging on for nostalgia’s sake.

The struggle to hold on has grown too tiresome.

I feel the need to open my hands

And let it fly free.

I knew in my heart that he was the one

This man that once was part of me,
