Who was he?

 THE MAN WHO WASN’T THERE

In a little town,

Called Nowhere,

There was a man,

Who wasn’t there.

Nobody knew him,

He knew no one.

If he had a name,

It was known to none.

He wasn’t heard,

He had no routine.

He saw nobody,

He was never seen.

He had no address,

He had no home.

He had no I.D.

He had no phone.

No one knows who he is,

Or what it is he does.

He’s the man who wasn’t there,

And he never was.

There are many men who are not there, we can find them everywhere these empty people. Sadly they have wasted so much energy being what others expect they have never taken time to learn who they are.

You found me, Michael! He's a real nowhere man... ...sitting in this nowhere land... Well, I'm sure you know the song. Love your poem. Makes me think you almost know me. Lol! Love and peace,

Regis

Reads like most indie writers' presence in the universe.

Superbly written in the style of someone who really knows. Reminds me of that old song, "Nowhere Man."

Many of us are unknown to each other in this vast world of ours, but we indeed exist.

I hate to say it, but this sounds like me. No one knows who, where, what I am. Perhaps I never was. Loved this one, Michael, as I do all of your poems, perhaps moreso. John

Wow! I love this. It reminds me of the forgotten homeless that lived in my old city. Thank you for sharing it with us.

So, if no one sees or hears you, are you there? Do you exist? Kind of like the tree falling in the forest with no around to see or hear you.

Sounds like a floating loner . . . I used to fit that description.
