Driving Away From You A business trip takes me from you Putting togetherness on hold Before daybreak I drive in moonbeam silence Every crossing street a family chapter Block after block holds parts of our lives Compounding my absolute loneliness City lights blind any recall of your smile Amid doubts of seeing such beauty again Within airport thousands something familiar In half the faces so much like yours I ponder the why of my going Taking away the you who completes the me 2007 F William Broome �

Next to a Dear John one, going away is the most heart breaking movement we ever will be doing.
The poems is full of "why's?" without been written in it.
A classic.
