help bring written words to life
for those with weak eyes
Light Years
A Covington day where I first saw the light of
In a state of confusion in Georgia USA until
I was six and ready for the first day of school
As the only one in class who could read I was
Named class monitor for teacher's absence
After four grades I began the fifth in Atlanta
Then into junior high for the seventh grade
Finally into higher education of grade eight
Busy in extra curriculars I finish high school
To enter Atlanta University of Georgia unit
Cut short by military service taking me to
Five states for further training and then to
Hawaii and Manila Luzon in the Philippines
As a non combat Communications Specialist
After five years a release to a challenging life
As a married civilian fathering three children
Completing college and beyond for extras
And the work for which I was born back there
Years before to begin the making of the man
What a wonderful look at your 'light years'....someone once told me that 'when we are young time crawls but as we age we wonder how we missed it'.. you have led a full and wonderful life my friend...))
Wow, you've penned and summed up highlights of your life, or as others have proclaimed a resume within the lines of this offering...impressive...you've accomplished much, with more to come I am sure...well done my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce B.
