One born to love was my sister. A woman of vast capacity to include in her outreach, those she liked. With a sixth sense of what was needed, her offers to help were second nature in an ingrained need to be needed. She readily agreed to baby sit our children, leaving hers with their father. Too often we used up kindness, which she wanted returned by hearing us tell about our outing, and its Cinderella details. Vicariously, she relived each of them through us. At a time, she was unable, so we engaged a kind and lonely widow, who seemed treated by refusing to be paid, revealing an incurable loneliness. Not in my sister of love for everyone. Once learning of my wife's yen to go out after our daughter was well again, she showed up with overnight personals, ordering us to stay away for the entire weekend! Just between us, she was Sister Love.
And that you understand HER need makes this a poem of Brother Love as well..) I think sometimes it is easy to overlook in an offer to help the need to be needed...
