Warm unsweetened breath
heaves and sighs
like strokes under water
reaching for air
to calm inexperienced
lips fraught
with gentle probing
and wonder
at what is happening
Two mouths touching
giving and taking
unaware of
eager body parts
pressing to join
an unmapped journey
Innocence and yearning
yield control
for daring moments
of a full minute
as uneasiness shouts
for time out
Pride overwhelms
each in realizing
a knowing
making their next try easier
My memories are of the tilted head mishaps... You know, each tilts the head in hte same direction until FINALLY you get it right...lol Love this piece, my friend...
"First Kissng" wonderfully analyzes the kiss. I've never analayzed one of my own kisses, but when I watch them kissing on television, I often wonder what is in their mind--even if they are acting a part.
