Before the sun shines on Thanksgiving morning
I mull over war ravaging news about our world
Wondering how long it might be before
Other populations reach any degree of rest through
A determination that their ambitious leaders
Shall not reign over people needing democracy to
Bring peace once again to tired peoples of nations
America and Thanksgiving are the symbols of
Democratic government amidst prosperity
But its national leaders' greatest shortcoming
According to the critics is helping a restless
Nation regain democracy for its blinded people
Shameful indeed is our political parties' war
Tearing apart a great people and their economy

Well said my friend and it is sad that your nation so proud, so powerful and so patriotic is losing a lot of these very traits that make it wo great because of the vanity or greed of politicians and presidents.
