Wow! What a trick ending. Nicely done and completely unexpected. I enjoyed the terseness of your prose as well as the direct approach of your narrative. Well done!
Often times these little miracles occur especially in the arts and entertainment fields... an unknown actor passed over for a one line part is rememmbered by the producer in a movie that requires a larger part...fate or just the way peoplle are perceived at different times. Regardless a great write that brings out our sympathy and then our joy as the girl is rewarded.
