It's really easy being yellow- yielding
many shades and stages of brilliance
in nature's gifts of color for our eyes
Few agree on which of the offerings
is best- the soft lemon and squash
or is it sleek baby hair and blondes
Some like legal pads-Yellow Cabs-
changing styles of yellow neckties
Texans claim yellow roses- ignoring
the yellow bird up in banana tree
Sweet yellow watermelons appeal
or an other than red- juicy tomato
Forsythia a yellow lace over land
jonquils vie with daises or yellow
soft pleated skirts slowly ambling
These and the humble goldenrod
fade before a glorious morning sun
the epitome of yellow and friends
Yellow never looked so good to me. My whole life, I've ignored yellow [it's a childhood trauma, thing]. Interestingly, once I understood my dislike for yellow - I've come to appreciate it in a wonderfully sunny way. Reminds me of my poem - The Power of Red. There is so much in color that we never contemplate.

I held up a blue cup to my grandson Michael (
"19 months old). What color is this Michael?"
"lello", he replied. I asked him what color his Bike? "Lello", he replied when it is red.
Yellow or "Lello" is Michael's favorite color so "lello" it all is for now.
