The dawn does its slow dance and I grope for meaning
Foggily making a list of musts and absolutes expected
In my already tired inadequacy nothing motivates
Causing regret for those who direct and pay for more
I curse and nurse another day hoping for better
I lie here mulling my prospects in new inadequacies
Wondering about pay-back penalties built therein
I wallow in winning bets gambling and go for broke
Daring anyone to doubt my dubious delaying druthers
I roll out from the covers wondering how determined
I would be stopping the whirl and getting the hell off
Stop the world!! This is one way of getting off the bus! This is a little different for you and I like the flow and bond your words have of getting your point across.
Love and blessings,
Susan
What a motivational piece this could become. As I dust off the grime and cobwebs of my yesterdays.Inspiration for another foray into excitement is at best fleeting. Wisdom and tenacity, rouse me then to fight again. I find inspiration to foster up dogged determination from your poem Bill. Jon Michael Willey
Man, Bill, I feel the despair of your words this morning--were you peeking over my shoulder? Been up since 4:00 (ish) this morning, started an arguement with my twin sis (not a great way to jump start the day)--stress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hear (and feel) you--I'll pray for you if you will, me. Well done!!
God bless you. Kathy
