My Thoughts Turn To Love.....

..... when I see a sleek two-door red sports car
.........I sold it quickly to a couple who love it

..... viewing a well made adult romance movie
......... the love scenes were really amateurish

..... being served first newly opened champagne
......... we soon sip into yearnings and race home

..... seeing a pretty face snuggled inside a hood
........ it's you hiding down in there for Winter

..... sniffing smelly hot dogs and chili topping
....... remembering you always quit after four

..... gazing at ladies shop next-to-nothing gown
....... I warmed recalling fires yours started in me

..... swallowing tears walking through rooms
....... where we did love's unforgettable things

You know my friend, I have been a fan of your work for many years. During that time, you have created pieces that are extraordinary in thier ability to entertain and touch. Some touch the funnybone...some are shrewd perceptions of life seen though the eyes of experience and shared...and some show the depth and heart of a man.
This piece falls into the last catagory.
This piece of yours, is without doubt, in this man's opinion, your benchmark piece. You do have many others that are equally as good, but this one is in a class all its own. I see from other comments being left here, others feel the same way.
Take pride in this one my friend.

How memories grow as we share this journey with those we love, very well said....

Stopping ONLY after 4 chili dogs. I get heartburn from just one. LOL. I agree with Kate too. This IS your best yet. So romantically emotional, the yearnings for things that were, and the emotional content, all give this a "best yet" rating. Thank you Bill, for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

TOTALLY KNOCKOUT... YOUR VERY VERY BEST... HOPE I'M INVITED TO COMMENT ON THIS FOR YOUR NEXT COLLECTION... :)) This is why you will ALWAYS be Ageless and Cool. So beautifully slant and poetically understated. K xx

I couldn't help but cry, so bittersweet and beautiful the memories of such a precious love.

Oh, Bill, this is so touching and beautiful. A poem to make one smile, and one to make you fight back the tears. Beautiful work, Bill.
