Last Minute

Her 7:50 train
pulls away slowly
leaving him alone
on the platform
club car lights fade
signal the end

Walking to his car
he hears his name
turning around
she’s in his arms
train's backing up
re-joins two lives

The magic moment of indecision...last minute parole...dodging the bullet. In a movie this is the classic happily ever after ending and so was this poem the best ending scenario. Well done Bill.

In this romantic interlude the camera fades ito the arms of bliss. I love endings like this.
