Swinging West


Simple things
bring you back

Like a porch
swing at sunset

On a day of
blue and puffs

Each of us silent
storing autumn

We point to
new patches

Colors not there
in kids' crayons

Design splashes
beyond Picasso

Our swing slows
with sinking sun

We sit applauding
an Academy Show

I love the smiplicity of this enchantingly visual poem Bill...it brings back many delightful memories of evenings spent on a porch swing...
