While those who have learned better live better
Yielding to road signs I slowed at fifty-five to
Enjoy the scenery good sleep and eating places
There's no need for tv commercials to guide me
The young have a monopoly on vigorous health
Wasting advantages in fast living and variety sex
When older it's all done like the astronauts know
Floating around slowly taking time doing it right
There's no need to keep up with Jones or Smiths
The young must travel their own way and to be honest I am sure that my parents thought the same thing when I was a 'young one'...As they grow and learn they will be like those of us who hopefully have.. grown and learned..)

I love this. You are so right. I think I am going to print this off and hang above my desk as a reminder to myself when I feel that urge every now and then to try and "keep up", I don't need to keep up I am already in the lead. lol
