In the Fall nature has little regard for mankind and property.
Fall's Fierce Winds
They have been missing for months
Off playing in the Bahamas pleasing tourists
We have our own in cooling summer breezes
Before September sends its howling changes
In returning winds madly kicking up oceans
Over land and man-made things in its way
Tropical storms roaring into gulfs and bays
Celebrating return building into hurricanes
Each strengthening wind seeks its own place
To become the master dumping overdue rain
We enjoy first winds' game of blowing leaves
And brace for destruction misery and expense
How odd that Nature can be so fickle! As Fall comes to our area it brings a most unusal mildness to the days and almost coolness to the mornings. One of our news reporters said it seemed as though it might be an apology for the misery of earlier days of September... perhaps it is so..) Loved your poem.

Love, M
Surrounded by God's own acreage
The wind blows strong and sure
Yes, but I am secure
As the wind chimes go wild
In merry glee and frenzy
I'm caught by the lively sounds
That the winds create freely
I am content to lie in my bed
Hearing the wind surround me
For there is another side of wind
That comforts as He keeps thee...
