Seeing Is Believing

Seeing is believing.
You hear it all the time.
The biggest untruth of all.
Because.
Seeing something is only to
look at it and observe, but not examine.
Before believing, one should be
able to study it, learning much about it
and, perhaps, make a project of it.
A more truthful saying might be,
"Allowing one to learn is to believe."

"Seeing is believing," is an old folk saying.
The tragedy is that too many of us want to
save time by believing without going to
any effort to inquire about how to
learn what is in a document, or how
a machine or a new invention might work.
Pity.
Such persons never get to that wonderful
place in life when they can actually believe,
"It's fun to be fooled, but more fun to know."
