Lord oh lord take my hand
Safely cross the burden great
Leave me in the sunshine
Born just too late

Silver on the marker glowing
Gold upon crown of thorns
Give the ending to the widow
Bring the soldiers home

Whisper to my darling
Keep her safe from harm
Let the arms of children
Be in hers safe and warm

Feed silence waiting
Cover the magic still
Hold the stars at bay
Grant for me thy will

Angels in the dawn
Last drill as we go home
Dead revivers
Sleep alone

Heard my mother
Saw my fathers face
Hid the guilt
Erased by faith

It was in desperation
Death was calling for me
When from out of the darkness
was set free

Lord oh lord take my hand
Safely cross the burden great
Leave me in the sunshine
Born just too late

was set free
In a sea of love to hate
When from out of the darkness
Blood of all can relate

Death was calling for me
Colder than burning tree
It was in desperation
It had come to take me

Erased by faith
As the embers glow
Hid the guilt
Black as December coal

Saw my father's face
Tears stained on his soul
Heard my mother
From this earth will go

Grant for me thyLord oh lord take my hand
Safely cross the burden great
Leave me in the sunshine
Born just too late

Silver on the marker glowing
Gold upon crown of thorns
Give the ending to the widow
Bring the soldiers home

Tears stained on his soul
Heard my mother
From this earth will go

Grant for me thy will
As time holds no loss for me
Hold the stars at bay
While you grant this moment

Cover the magic still
Portion equal on black of the quill
Feed silence waiting
Cover every rock and plead

Grant me more than sleep
Silver on the marker glowing
Gold upon crown of thorns
Give the ending to the widow

Bring the soldiers home

Whisper to my darling
Keep her safe from harm
Let the arms of children
Be in hers safe and warm  will
