1.

Lie Like Honey
Sara L. Russell  03:15 13/10/2002

Weekend world-weary
we are lying near sleep
with the lengthening dawn
bringing colours into grey

and you lying there like honey
on the warm toast of the sheets
spread before me like a vista
of sweetness,
chasing a dream,
and I can only watch

you are lying like a landscape
of subtle sandy dunes
spread before me like forever
in completeness
world without seam
and I can only sigh

Weekend wine-bleary
between aroused and sleep
with the lengthening dusk
bringing shadows to play

and you lying there like petals
on the deep loam of the night
spread before me like temptation
like sweetness
chasing a dream,
and I can only watch.

2.

THE BURNING BUSH
Sara L. Russell 1997.

Touch me
I am the burning bush
the warm earth, the blind wanton
the place of life's beginnings
music under the maestro's stroking hands.

Discover me
I am the deep orchid
a well of peace, a spring of desire
mistress of all-or-nothing
fire under the searing breath of love.

3.

UNTITLED
Sara L. Russell 1998.

Lost in the anticipation of before
from the very first moment of closing the door
our desirous fingers roam where they love to tread
follow the delicate line from neck to head
from sinuous silken hill to bushy vale
feel the undulations from top to tail
slowly now, as if beneath the sea
softly holding you enfolding me
until I feel you fall on me like rain
rushing through my wilderness again.

One thing I love about rambling around in the den is coming across a rare gem or exotic blossom of verse...all three of these fit the bill.
The third one in particular (Anticipation would make a grand title by the way)...
it is so well done...reminds me of Dickinson in some respects...splendid job here, Sara

Honey on warm toast......gggrrroooaaannn
I'll pass on burning bush because the Julian Claryism is too obvious.
Loved them all darling - so when are you going to publish this volume of erotica then?
(and can I direct the videos please?)
