i woke up this morning and as i raised my head from my pillow, i felt age creeping up on me, my joint's aching, my back stiff, and i had to adjust to the weight of my body,

i have seen my mother, father and friend's walk a lttle slower, but i never thought of me, getting their, i was once told by an elder person, when it hit's, it hit's, growing old is a curse, but on the other a gift, i looked and just smiled, i will be jumping around, wait and see,

but as this morning started i could only go back and remember, the conversation from the past, it made me laugh, we grace it with hope, a giving, know a days, who look their age, i no i don't, but the outside can fool anyone,

age is grace, a smile, a wish, a thought, it bring's on all the thing's we just see it the elder, for know, but have you looked in the mirror lately, i mean really looked, it's reflection's is scratch in stone, see the crinkled smile around your lips, the crow's feet by your eye's, and then smile to yourself, and say what a blessing,

"Old Age, not me, I am staying young forever!"
Statement by a certain poet on AD surprisingly the same name that is making this comment...LOL! I know what you're going thru, Deborah, as I have the same creaks and squeaks as I get up out of bed each and every morning...but life is pretty good, why fight it, we are here for now and might as well enjoy it, as best we can...Peace in Aging, Ed & Rufuz (w00f)

There's nothing more beautiful than to age gracefully. Wonderful write indeed!
