Raindrops on my mind. A feeling of cleanliness. How can we resist its pull? It draws us to the window. To watch its majestic descent. It washes away all dirt and impurities. Wash me. Make me fresh and new. Who can ask for anything more?

I think it would take a deluge to clean my dirty mind, and even then I have my doubts. But I do enjoy walking in a gentle warm rain. it's truly refreshing.
For some reason when I see the rain I often think dark thoughts of sadness. And even of being cold and wet. But you're right. Rain can be a cleaning experience after a long dry spell, especially a hot one. I can recall getting out in the rain in my youth when it was warm and the water feeling so invigorating as I ran around and splashed in it. Perhaps with your poem in mind, I should do it again. Short out my wheelchair in the process. ;-)
