Strangely, this poem is one, which my mother did not agree with...it is one of few she ever read, as well. I always regarded my mother as being intellectual and sound. I never really knew why she disagreed with the reasoning in this writing, but it surely made me think more decisively about what I put out.

Under a beautiful Sunrise, resting…
Assured, the sun will always Shine…
Roses of the Spring...
Submerged profoundly within waters of the…
Streams to Seas, swim…
Creatures—lonely…
Longing to be freed...
Like roses, we are blessed with enlightenment…
As well, our leaves and sprouting seeds…
Yet we are dying—slow…in the…
Soil and the Air that we Breathe…
Like the creatures of the Seas…
We swim—trying, desperately, to speak…
When only…water, we breathe...
If we just emerge for one, small, moment…
Perhaps, we may be seen…
Hence, the very instance we emerge, Speak…
Loudly—with power
Scream….
