Personal struggles
exorcised in public;
Redemption of that
which has been lost -
fitness, safety,
sanity, control?
When did life become
such a menace
that we have to fight
tooth and nail
to survive it;
To walk the searing tightrope
that alone brings
equilibrium and peace?
Life IS the threat, not under it;
We have to show it who's boss,
that we are master and not slave,
the head and not the tail...
Though, looking around
at us many bedraggled wrecks
being put through our paces
by torturous bits of equipment,
you would think that,
for the most part,
we would much rather
wave the white flag
and throw in the towel;
To lie down
and let life
have it's way with us!

Kate, Dana is onto the right idea. If your house is made of cards ...
I will huff and puff until I blow it down. But if, as I think, it is built on a foundation of love and hope; it is I who will walk the line for you. But I don't mind at all. It will be a pleasure. You name it and I will carry it out. Is that fair enough?
Walk standing on my head, upside down, backwards. Yes, I will absolutely, positively do it Kate. I have nothing to lose but my heart ro the "Princess Of The Morning." Hugs Bill xx
Oh...Kate...this is super!
I am one of those who loses a few calories a day by waving
the white flag and throwing in the towel. Now...If I could
swim well, I'd go AFTER it, and that way might lose a few
more calories!
Thanks for the comment on my latest poem. You are so sweet!
