...On A Liquid Lunch With My Brother

ON HAVING MY THIRST FOR EXPERIMENTATION QUENCHED
ON A LIQUID LUNCH WITH MY BROTHER

I was wearing my specs.
I told him I had lacerated my eyeballs
by accident,
as someone had once said
that the muscles of the eyelids
are the strongest in the body.

On testing this out,
I had omitted to first remove
my hard contact lenses.

My brother leaned back in his chair
and folded his short arms decidedly
across what remained of his chest
above his pregnant beer belly.

His face wore an expression
of embarrassed concern:
"Kate, you really must get out more!"

Yo, Bro!! If you ever read this, this is for all the times you locked me up in the attic with the rats!!

... And it's OK, folks... we share the same sense of humour! God forbid!! :))

Ho,ho!! I can tell that I've struck a bit of a chord here! What is it with brothers and sisters that we never quite grow out of those handbag-bashing sibling relationships?! And who would want to?! (c:= K xx... ker-pow!!

lol like this Kate, I've got three sisters and it would've been unfair on the rats to subject them to my sisters, plus we never had an attic...though I did lock all three of them in the coal shed once which was full of humongus spiders...hehehee!
Oh the joy of their screams lol

What a coincidence - I used to lock my sister up in the attic with the rats - those little guys were really my pals, too - they kept my sister occupied for hours!!

your brother sounds as if he's there for you. A good friend as well as a sibling.
