... More tomfoolery, I'm afraid... anything to lighten the load. Love and prayers, K xx

EEKOLOGICALLY SOUND

I bought a lipstick today,
“Rebel Rose”,
specially selected from the
Beauty Without Cruelty
cosmetics range.

Without question it smells
and is flavoured like chicken fat,
undoing my attempts
to become ecologically sound.

Now I taste like a carnivore,
and feel got up like the dog’s dinner --
without the effort of cooking it.

As Gorgeous George would say:
“Go figure”…

The Rose is inclined to Rebel;
this minor act of political conscience
has left me with little to savour.

"More tomfoolery, I'm afraid..."

Never fear fooling tom... but I prefer my other name... katy. Ahem. (grin) If you apologize for being hilarious, I will be forced to shower you with limericks and/or guffaws, for your cheeky mind.

now then...

"Now I taste like a carnivore" (et al)... Ok, kamakaze kate! I will hold you responsible for the krack on my skull, acquired as I hit the floor, giggling madly. I write humor. You write hilarity and you do it with such abandon, such imagination, such royal ripping that I MUST add this to my kollection. Within my library are various musings; then there's that shelf occupied with only you.

"Gorgeous George" INDEED! Whew... my snickering is subsiding... think I'll read this just one more time, though I'll wear a helmet this time! ha! I love this one... krash-helmet katy xox

"The Rose is inclined to Rebel"
I love that line. lol You know
we do need some relief from
these burdens that I feel so
helpless to do anything about,
All I know is to just move forward
and to continue doing what I do.
Is that wrong? Go figure... ;)
Great piece Kate!

Well with such sweet lips as yours it would be easier to go natural with perhaps just a fresh strawberry for flavour. Cute write and it's good to be home and reading you again.

Yuk to the chicken fat...I hate the lipsticks that taste nasty, waxy or rancid. Ahh, but for beauty we shall endure. This is so funny, Kate. You bring the reality of it all right to the surface.
Take care,
Sherry
