This came to me as I was just gettin dressed... not too sure this is what Joseph has in mind with his "connection between nature and spirit", but seemed OK to me - until I realised the non-rhyming flaws: Dayumm!! K :)) xx

BUTCH
Tres Linhas Unrhymed and Unhinged

Dressed only in jeans
I walked round bare-chested -
What freedom being a bloke!

I find clothes rather debilitating and cumbersome, Kate; so I can relate to your sentiments here. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

i see you haven't visited the beaches of Fire Island ;) seriously, men do have more freedom in publicy expressing their chests, at least in the modern world which is a statement of men's hangups, insecurities and uncontrollable urges ...

Bless you, Chanti... but you know what bugs me the most?? Not being able to take a pee au natural discreetly... Take last week, for example - my birthday spent roaming the wilds of Dorset coast and hills, only to find that whenever I needed to find a bush and basically strip off from the waist down, there was half of the Birdwatchers and Ramblers Association of Great Britain present to cause me to up-breeches and take off just as soon as poss... so much easier for the chaps to only have to turn their backs and get on with job in hand without as much as anyone batting an eyelid... Sooooooooooooooooo unfair. Simon even has pictures... euch!!

There is a lot more to this than meets the eye ;-)

This was one you had to get off your chest wasn't it?

Ok enough bad puns. lol

The truth is that men DO enjoy more freedom in so many respects but I still prefer being a gal. In spite of all of the indignities we suffer, we have experiences that they could never understand. I don't know why but I just thought of a weak joke I was told a long time ago. Little girl in bath with her brother, points to his willy and says 'Why don't I have one of those?' Mother's reply: 'With what you've got darlin', you can as many of those as you like when you grow up.' *grimace*

Keep smiling :-))

Kate,

Oh, to let 'em swing free, unrestrained...sigh. LOL Freedom, indeed. Men have it, don't they? They can walk around bare-chested, no one says anything. A woman does that in public, she's arrested for indecent northern exposure! LOL Love the sassiness in this fun write; well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Excellent words even if they don't rhyme, Kate. You are so right about the freedom part, men don't know how good they have it, though I am very happy that all my repro organs are not hanging out there in harms way. I think most men would happily give up their bare-chested rights to have never experienced an accidental shot to the groin. ;)
Take care,
Sherry

Now that you have got something off your chest, take a trip to the Riviera and be in style. With Hollywood gals bearing so much cleavage, little is left to the imagination.

This is good work. Someohow, I can't beyond the visual, but I'm working on the literary quality here. "Freedom," is our most expansive word. I love it in any context... or out of.....
