There’s fish in the sea and birds in the air,
There’s rainbows and sunlight for everyone to share
There’s flowers all color that feed all the bees
There’s mountains of rocks covered with trees
There’s butterflies and moths there’s bright colored beetles
There’s quilts and there’s clothes made with all types of needles
There’s candies and cakes and pies filled with fresh fruit
There’s cold winter days and warm summers too
There’s books to be read there’s tv and radio
There’s people we meet and people we know
There’s many a day for things to be done
Then there are days for all of life’s fun.
There’s still silent nights where moon shines bright
There’s stars that wait for morning sun’s light
There’s places to go there’s places to visit
There’s ventures to stores that become family trips
There’s sunsets of orange there’s violet sunrises
There’s day to day living, there’s some with surprises
There’s puffy white clouds in a sky full of blue
There’s millions of people but there’s only one you,
One you that’s a treasure to everyone you know
One you that’s a friend to every living soul
Who knows you the way that you really are
Who cares if you’re okay no matter how far
The distance between you and them might be
I know this because look at you and look at me
My family, a friend, I’ve known all my life
And when I think about you I can’t help but smile
So here’s you a poem that I sat down to write
To tell you today, I hope that you smiled
Because you found happiness in all the small ways
That makes you so special to me on this day.
