A superb literary craftsman Mr. Bolton most certainly is and these noble lines pay him just and fitting tribute. Not at all hard to imagine THE DUKE reading Jerry and going, "You got that right pilgrim," as in one patriotic soul nodding in recognition of another.

Excellent tribute to a fine fellow Peter�liked the photo as well. Sort of reminded me of the time I saw a John Wayne western while I was in France�

Well, well, would you look at this? I go out for a couple of hourse to do some "real" things that "real" people do, and what do I have waiting for me when I get back? Your attempt to associate me with The Duke. Gotta love it! I'm afraid I wouldn't compare all that well with Big John, but I thank you profusely for putting me in his elite circle of men. Now this is NICE!!!!!! Great tribute and inspired appropriate character analogy, I think. Honest and upfront, just like wot he is and I am particularly touched, for some reason, by this being as from one "damn good bloke" to another. Nuthin I like better than a good "blokesy" bear-hug... so to speak. Nice to see admiration between our full-blooded males so solidly and astutely expressed. Kudos to you both! K xx

Fantastic! I have to agree with you on all counts Peter, he sure is true to his word, there's no having to wonder what he is about,and that makes John Wayne a great choice. He's also a top-drawer poet/writer, as are you!Splendid tribute, Peter!

I applaude you two...my favorite poets along with Fee and Jay, Ed and Rufuz...and special kudos for sweet William Broome. I guess if I don't have a man in my life with people like Rage and Alexander..Marco Landi (the Italian romantic poet who we miss here) amd any I missed..Art for his spiritual leads..Our MEN POETS exemplify word prose in cadence with us gals here too.
