Poem Artwork

A poet is a bird of unearthly excellence, who escapes from his celestial realm arrives in this world warbling. If we do not cherish him, he spreads his wings and flies back into his homeland.
Kahlil Gibran

..............................................................................................

Morning has broken, to the sweet fluting of the blackbird

and my heart is filled with such joy and gladness

as I am on a mission to fill the world with love

and break down the barriers that seperate man from man

I don't care what opposition I will face

relentless I am with the power of grace

time is precious, and time passes fast

like the winged bird on its solitary flight

the babbling brook rushes down to the sea

and my heart is filling with thoughts of you

saturated through to my very soul

I am a restless spririt, with an invincible will

on a quest for justice and peace to all

so jump aboard, and take my hand

we have a joint ticket to ride

to the Kingdom of Heaven

written in just our names

THE MISSION provides an amazing reading experience. Between the introductory quote from Khalil Gibran and the illuminated cascade of inspiration that follows, we who aspire to call ourselves poets are filled with a re-empowered sense of purpose, vision, and joy. Much gratitude--

You have articulated - warbled! - beautifully my oft-thunked thoughts about birds, Peter... how they fly free from who knows where to who knows where and recognise no colour or cultural barriers or man-made borderlines. I just wish we could use them as messengers of love, peace and goodwill... guess it's been done in the past, huh?? Winged messages in bottles, so to speak. This captures the heart and the imagination. TY Kate xx

You put your heart and your hand together here in The Mission, Peter. We never act from motives of rivalry or personal vanity. We don't think only of our own affairs, but learn to see things from other's points of views. We have a sane estimate of ourselves. A very peaceful flight to you, Peter.

I love the unending power of triumph guranteed to all those who believe it is theirs for the taking. To rise up every morning with a heart of grace toward mankind and a sword of light to slice through the darkness of ignorance and hatred. Love consumes all fear, destroys all doubt, and refreshes all souls willing to give love to ALL. Your verse is the very image of your heart dear friend. Full of courage, wisdom, grace and love. :)

((Beautiful, Peter))) You beloved, your mission is extraordinary as other healers have.. Healers are graced with incredible uniqueness. We stand out from all the others not in pride, carnal ego, but compassion and deepest pure love that runs so huge. We need to heal because it is our cause and it heals us back..We need to heal because it is our contract with the Divine.. If you get a chance, please check out a website that describes the portrait of a healer. The URL is http://keirsey.com/personality/nfip.html
I feel it will profoundly speak to you..
