When disaster strikes
Those who react emotionally
Are the first to be slain!
One must forget tears!
For tears cannot draw blood!
One must admonish fear!
For the frightened
Foolishly dance the steps
Of death!
And one must evade sympathy
For the pacified simply dream
As they talk themselves to sleep!
In times of strife!
One must sap
Their primeval instincts!
Those of survival!
And though commoners will disapprove
Of the emotionless stare
Or the incessant desire of to seek!
And to destroy!
It is of no matter!
Countless generations
Have ridden the backs
Of the few such as these!
From discord and upheaval
To peaceful and harmonious existence!
It is only in the latter stages however
That sincere praise is bestowed upon
