I was blinded by something, what could it be

I listened and listened but I could not hear

I could not decipher words that were so clear

I reached out to touch but felt only empty space

My life was gone, nothing seemed in its’ place

I looked into my heart and saw a dim light burning soft

I searched in my soul where God still watched from aloft

I had fallen by the wayside but now it was time to get up

My road still stretched before me and that was enough

My vision soon began to clear to a bright sunny day

My ears heard the chorus of birds singing at play

When you open your heart, your soul and your mind
