Now... this took guts! I, too, am a Christian who has no use for church. I worked for a Lutheran church and school for eight years, and some of the things that were done in God's name was a travesty. We seem to forget that we are all brothers and sisters. And love, with respect is enough to get us to our goal... eternal bliss...

If we do need to quote the Bible, there are two, which being an alcoholic, I try to live by. "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone." And "Don't worry about the speck in someone else's eye, until you remove the log from yours." Everytime, I write something like this, I am told that I am full of hate and have lost many readers. So I appluad your courage and your right to speak...

These words that you pen are the very ones that keep so many believers out of the churches. A church is supposed to be God's House; how dare the attendees judge His guests, worshipers and children. "Judge not and ye shall not be judged." Strong rant, Felix. I agree with you whole-heartedly.

Yes, my friend. There are some hypocrites out there who sit in judgement of others. I am not one of them. I don't claim to know all the answers...only God does...Each one of us has to answer for his/her own sins in this world. He/she answers to God..not man. So why should we judge? That's God's job!

I think you make it clear that you are referring to the hypocrites who like to hide self-righteous behind a cloak of piety from which they condemn others. Religion is no one's salvation unless they truly practice what it preaches. Good job, Felix.

Well, it's not just the Christians. Many of us do judge others without really getting to know the person well; but I do agree with you. Some judge others extensively and lable others sinners without taking a good look at themselves first.

But who are we to judge others? Who are we to call others sinners? Many just sit at the bottom of the well and look up at the sky, and anything that won't fit into that circle they see they call them sinners.

There are so many of us, we should all accept each others difference. It's only through acceptance of another will the world find peace.

Go, Felix, Go!!! I think the radicals have just about ruined things for all Christians. I feel badly for the 'real' Christians, who don't blame victims, or the clothing industry, or movies, or schools and want to force everyone in the world to live by their quirky, hypocritical rules because they are unable to control themselves or live by their own morals unless everyone else is forced to do the same. I hear more and more people jumping on the soap box to scream the same message you have just written, and believe it will become even worse if they don't become more vocal and politically active in stopping the radicals. The radicals are out to prove they have the power. Either the sane ones shut them down, or the fight will get uglier. Enough is enough! Thanks for speaking out.

i can understand why people don't like us christians, but not ALL of us are like this; i know I am NOT! i may be a christian, but i am NOT perfect: if I were, I would be GOD, and I KNOW I am NOT Him! I make mistakes, and that right there shows i am only human! but I DO have a God who loves me anyway, and accepts me, mistakes AND all! very eye opening write; thank you for sharing, felix! i applaud you!

This is an excellent diatribe for the hypocritical christians. However, just like with any other group,for instance islam, (not all are radical muslim terrorists). Not all christians are the way you

proclaim, tarring us all with one brush! Thanks for the opportunity to leave my comment. Incidently I have descried these same kind of so called christians. People who act like you describe do not know Christ! Eileen
