A commmentary on the world of today...

when did we stop caring that the wind roars down the canyon tainted with nuclear fallout

when did the wolves howl and bray at the full moon hungry for the decaying bodies of murdered border crossers

when did the law becomes the rule of mob mentality, kill the hungry trample the weak

when did life becomes as disposable and cheap as pay as you go cell phones

when did the school systems become childhood penal institutions patrolled by guards

when did presidents words stop being believed almost as much as a carny barker of old

when did terrorism start to run our daily lifes as we watch the daily risk like we once watched the forest fire index

when communism fails, democracy fails, and the seniors die from lack of medicines and food

when did it become okay to forget Christ in Christmas, ignore the pledge of allegience and desecrate our flag

when did when become now

When? When Adam and Even ate the fobidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. It has just kept being passed down from generation to generation and grown more throughout the years. That was a tough question to find the answer to. Karen

Instead of growing we are spiriling down; down the slippery slope
Man has turned away from God. He wanted to do it on his own. It cannot be done that way. Man cannot create some things on his on - Humans, grass, trees, animals etc - He must have the seed. He cannot blow it into being.

I guess the moment it was decided to look away or hide, in order to be safe. A thought provoking write and a very strong message!

to me it seems it has been an historical accumulation of misguided perceptions and beliefs on all levels ... maybe, just maybe we are undergoing a moment in history when all civilization is in the process of transforming and before it can rebuild it must experience the decline of all its conventions ...

In man's path towards his dream..anything in his way suffers. The apathy of man also allows greed to prosper as man turns the pages of what he thinks isn't worth bothering about.
I'm happy to be out spoken because this land affords me this opportunity so far. Tomorrow that may change.
Great read Felix.

The world is in a state of constant change and I am going to suppose that these same questions have been asked by generations before us with slightly different leanings but the crux of it being the same. When did it become accepted to take out large ships and fish-out the ocean, when did it become just to kill off seals so that fishermen could fill the marketplace with fish that were to be the food of the seals, much of which is never purchased and becomes garbage. When did it become accepted that we should strip the land with huge fields of wheat, corn and cotton and form farming for sustenance into an industry. When did it become accepted to steal the oil from the earth that we may move around more freely as we poison our air, water and food? I think back to the time when we first began to ravage the land and I think that we probably asked similar questions, Felix. Now, we place our future in the hands of our leaders rather than stop and realize that the responsibility for change and rolling back, lies with each of us and not with our leaders. It is much easier to point fingers and blame others than it is to give up our cozy comforts and become self-sustaining. We all perpetuate the madness then question how mankind can be in such a mess. Happy Easter to you and yours, Felix.
Take care,
Sherry

To counterbalance Meredith Dixon, after all we are fair and balanced here, eh? I know for a fact that "when did when become now" happened in the fradulent sixties and carried over in the Clinton years.

Felix,
I've sat in the darkness awaiting a sunrise more than once, wondering each and every one of these, yet I've yet to find the answer.
I'm beginning to understand it to be not only a personal quest, but a trial for all in this lifetime. Our beliefs and abilities to see the good from evil, and right from wrong, have become so vague and shallow, that we don't even trust ourselves to make a correct judgement call anymore.
There are no simple answers to simple questions, for they just don't exist. The gemstones to happiness have been shattered by those such as the media, the politicians, the false faith shouters, the scam artists, which has taken away the goodness of so much of who we once were.
So your question of when? No I don't have the answer either, but it still pains me to know that we are there.
Happy Easter Felix.

Felix,

There is a lot we don't understand; there are many who question God as to why children suffer, why there are wars, why Mommy or Daddy had to die, why do storms happen...we just don't know. HOWever, that said, we must trust the Lord and remember that ALL things work together for good for those who love Jesus.

A powerful, thought provoking write, thank you; well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

May God bless you this Easter, and always, as He has me. :)

Felix, I wonder so much too. I often think why it such suffering is allowed.. Yet, my suffering at the hands of a wacko abusive and extremly cruel father gave me a deeper love and compassion for others. After I healed my anger I becamse renew with a love so deeply compassionate..It was a MIRACLE... What almost took me down became my strengths..I ponder the thought of a heaven on earth depending on how we look at it in personal ways. That is not to say things would not happen, but to look at the situations diffrent. I do believe we all affect the world. There is a ripple affect like currents that run in the oceans, ripple, ripple with the cause and affect of how we react to other human sisters and brothers. I ponder what a world of peace would be..Would that be like we were robots?? I ponder millions of thoughts, wishing peace. I do know if I treat my fellow citizen with respect and love, I create positive vibes. It's a world that has it's free will. We were given free will when we were created to be what we wanted. And I believe now we are starting to ask, just how..how can we open our heart to peace? Because the suffering here has been from the ripple affect of reactions, ideas, ect..I pray everyday for open love ( not conditional) but for real love to change our hearts. It may be impossible forever on this planet, but I can still dream it..I wish you well and thank you dearest friend for such compassionate reviews..Happy Easter..
