Just vagrant thoughts...no reflection on life as we know it

BEFORE THE COURT OF SURRENDER

by: Felix L. Perry

who can truly judge me

decide whether death is sin

how dare they cast stones

they don’t know where I’ve been

painful scars too numerous

hide in my chest wall cavity

mind grows tired of battle

of life’s true insanity

perhaps my time is past

my embers burning out

don’t look at me like that

as lost I blindly drift about

lay me down in green pastures

through the valley of death I will walk

set fire to my funeral pyre

too late now is time for talk

aye tis a dark write

in a dark frame of mind

teardrops will glisten

of the few left behind…

Fee, You are sunshine and health, and positivity..This is definitely not your usual up beat poetry..We all have the right to feel what ever way we do, and you certainly, are speaking your truth. All will get better, and then you will say "What the heck was I thinking!"
To peace, love, and light,

Never, never surrender!!! in face of adversity one must remember that one bad today are followed, perhaps, by an extraordinary good tomorrow, and we aren't the ones deciding what it will be.
Surrender is an abject consenting of give away our freedom, like a suicide take from us the opportunity to make a better day tomorrow.
Sad, very sad, the poet need's a friend with a 25 years old bottle of Remy Martin, a lighted fireplace and a couple of Cohibas.

I like to get into the psyche and explore it and find many of our hurts are like scars that heal but are always remembered for the hurt they brought at the time.

"Mind grows tired of battle", how true.
Why is life such a struggle? Is this inevitably linked to the human condition?

It seems to me that the darker paths are worth exploring and you have a right to question life. This too, is the stuff that poetry is made of.

Greetings,

Axilea

Leaves alot to think about but in the end, it is time when it is time...and to waste the gift of life is unforgivable. Life comes from the choice to live...to give it all. So many folks have so much less and are an inspiration to us all.

These vagrant thoughts are pretty sad and deep. Glad to hear it's just a moment in poetic time. The sentiment is clear - death. It's a good thing that people will miss the deceased and mourn for them.

Uhh, Fee. I like the depth and I like the darkness. But you must confess: if not to me - true to yourself you must be...

O, (((Fee))),

This one is haunting....and very well penned, for not being in this frame of mind. Just your Muse expressing itself...and powerfully, I might add!

(((HUGS))) and love, and more (((HUGS))) *just 'cause*, Karla.
