Not sure where this came from but here it is...perhaps it goes back to the song of the sixties of the same name...

The Second Eve of Destruction

By: Felix

When a green sun turns and the wild woods burn

When the blue moon won’t play the silly game

When the thunder purrs and the lighting demurs

This land will never again be the same

When love ceases and hypocrisy decreases

When passion secedes to lust with unshed tears

Mothers hear but don’t want children near

Tears fall, oh yes they truly fall, but on deaf ears

When the jackals rule and the heathen’s drool

While war is called holy beneath the call of greed

Eyes grow dim like with some silly little whim

While Satan with the Angels chose to breed

Who’ll stand tall with backs against the wall

Who’ll pray that the apocalypse is surely near

While the lawyers gawk like strutting cocks

One last child stands to shed a sacred tear…

A different write for you and I agree it is very dark and I'd hate to think of Satan with the Angels chose to breed. That is even scary. I do thank you for sharing, I'll sleep with an extra light on tonight.

Love ya Cuz XOXOXO, Rose

A firm warning that needs to be heeded; in any event, come, Lord Jesus; you can't come soon enough!!

Excellently penned, stark imagery makes this poem memorable, (((Fee))), excellent. Surely we are standing on the edge...in teh last days, the Bible says, the love of many will wax cold. We are seeing prophecy fulfilled. Sad.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Dark but great write here. Very creative with lots of intricate word usage. There is always conflict between good and evil in life.

Fee, a most frightening write "... while satan with angels chose to breed ..." A sad commentary on humanity, and [sadly] filled with much truth. We have to change this before it becomes reality.

Hugs and love. Kathy
