Run Jimmie Run...

Poem Artwork

The End Of The Chase

By: Fee

Last NASCAR race this season

It’s Homestead Time again

Forty cars sitting on the track

Only one will ride to fame

They’re firing up the engines

The race will soon be on

Jimmie Johnsons the favorite

Jeff Gordon wears a frown

He led the points all season

But when push came to shove

Number 48 ran true and straight

As if guided from up above

Now Number 24 is nervous

His ratings seem on hold

The fans of Jimmie standing

For Number 48 so bold

Tomorrow will be racing history

As Jimmie takes the cup two in a row

Jeff Gordon fans keep towels handy

Number 24 may need a tow….

Well Jimmie didn't win the race but he did win the Championship for the second year in a row...congratulations to him and to all the drivers that made this such and exciting year with NASCAR.

... Not a clue, but sounds racy and raw to me! :)) Nothin better than the smell of axle grease and sweaty helmets... And my heart will, for certain sure, go out to the guy who needs a tow (I'm keeping me cross-bar vacant!) Almost gets me cheering for I know not what. Hi-octane, Darlin, Kate xx

Epiphany by Gary Stephens

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
