The Queen’s Bedchamber

By:  Fee

Gauze curtains dance beneath a harvest moon

fall breezes twist them here and there

now and then a back-draft sucks them

through the open window as if

they are trying desperately to escape

but fate holds them bound there

She reposes like a Queen of ancient Egypt

on a down comforter of egret white

naked but dressed in serenity

with only the jewels of sensuality

she offers me her treasure to share

Trembling I cross a thousand miles of dreams

I kiss the royalty of my desires

nobly she accepts me with open arms

as above the overhead fan circulates

to the regal passion of the night

The Queen lays quiet now sated by a promise

that her kingdom sleeps the sleep

of those who do not fear the dark

but I the Knave of Hearts

dread the morning light…

... why? did you steal her tarts?? :))

aw go on... I bet you left her with a wonderful box of chocolate Milk Tray instead, so that she would know her somnambulant ecstasy wasn't entirely a dream...

there should be a few of these... they're kinda... mouthwateringly tasty! :)) Kate xx
