Fine by Me

By: Fee

Mostly I just sit around and daydream

Inside this empty house I call a home

Come see me when ever you feel lonely

Hope is all I have when I’m alone

Enter in the door that says “Welcome”

Let me hang your coat up in the hall

Later maybe we can talk about tomorrow

Either way it’s gonna be your call

Maybe from a spark we’ll build a little fire

End the cold snap that I’ve so long lingered in

All I have to offer are these two loving arms

Do you think love’s a game that we could win

Well it sounds like an invitation to good to pass on. So long as you don't mind a few sproggs, and what not, we would surely tip the joint upside down, you wouldn't be lonely LOLOL..

ACH I hear the longing in this write, my arms just aint that long though.

This is an invitation that one would love to answer yes to. I think it's the daydreamers that enjoy life the most. As long as you have hope, dreams are possible, they say. I love the second stanza, it has such beauty in the silent hope of a tomorrow yet living in the minute, which is the ideal way to be, in my humble opinion. I love the final stanza, too-it's slim, spare and direct-i love the idea of the cold snap being ended by the warmth of love being made. I think two loving arms are far more to offer than material things, and are what really matters, love being a game that is won in the loving.

Fee, I love this ~ it's quiet and humble, inviting yet not intrusive. It reads like lyrics to a beautiful song. It's become one of my favorites of yours...love it!
